Thanks Thomas - that's looking like a Subd Nurb plugin error rather than an Octane plugin problem. I suggest you report the problem to TF. In the meantime I'll try to get a copy and see what's happening in debug mode.

Thanks Paul.
I posted on the modo forums, and integrity ware, the company that provides subd-nurbs, is looking into it as well.

I have switched this thread from TEST to STABLE, and started a new TEST thread for newer releases.

Hi Paul,
I'm still having problems authenticating the Modo plugin. Standalone is fine. Deleted the config files for both Modo 701 and 801. Am on 801 SP2. Octane plug in is 2.05.2 (May 2014).
Windows 8 (64).
Gives me an error when I try to authenticate but the Event Log has no details.
Any advice on what to look for next?

You need to enter your OctaneRender for Modo Username and Password, not your Standalone Username and Password. If they do not work, check the OctaneLive Accounts page to make sure that license has not already been activated. If that still does not work, let me know and I will escalate to Otoy.

Thanks Paul. All good now!
Was using the wrong USERNAME.
Solved!

Hey Paul, any update on this issue? I really don't like having to disable the Octane plugin... that just makes me sad.

I posted on the Modo dev channel - no response. I requested a license or demo version of Subd Nurbs from TheFoundry - no response. You posted the issue in the Modo forums - no response. There is nothing I can do to progress this issue until I have a copy of Subd Nurbs. Sorry.
EDIT: I have emailed the president of IntegrityWare - hopefully that will get a response.

I now have a copy of the Subd Nurbs plugin, and it crashes Modo when exporting to STL. The crash is inside the Subd Nurbs plugin, not the Octane plugin, so I have forwarded all the details to IntegrityWare. It' something they will need to fix.

Have you thought about doing anymore videos to walk through some workflows and techniques?
I really enjoyed your first introduction video and it left me looking for more of a deeper tutorial.
Thanks
