octane currently can only uses a normal or a bump map: if both are applied, octane uses normal maps in favor of bump maps...

Render number 2, getting the hang of it now I think. I still feel it`s a very expensive product and the fact your forced to buy the standalone octane when you don`t actually need it is beyond me.

You are buying a licence to use the engine, that happens to come bundled with the plug-in to ensure compatability. A a side-effect you also get the bonus of being able to use the standalone which will generally be a higher version.

I use DAZ Studio to pose my characters, and the plugin works very well. I did this render in the standalone version. For some reason was not able to add a background image, need to try again, any tips on this? Does the size or format need to be specific? Anyway, she looks good with just the blue sky background I think!

Bluebird 3d`s a bright loft not so bright
What started out as sun/sky render turned into a warm night time render instead, 5 light mesh spheres with varying wattage (3x60, 1x40 and 1x25), small amount of bloom and glare.
Set up in DAZ 4.6, exported and rendered by Octane for DAZ studio to 20.1k samples in just 12 hours.

That looks extremely good. Can you share something about your material settings?

Looks excellent. What skin shader are you using? Is it one from the Live DB?
