What do you mean? A dds texturemap? It may be that the max objexport can render it as a jpg, png, tga etc.
Try the maps settings in the objexport dialog. (ctrl+click the render button in max2octane)

I must confirm that script doesnt work in max 2009, im getting some strange error, as far as i can see cant find the path for exe

You have spaces in the path to octane

yes i do, thats the default path when u install octane ;)

c:\Program Files\Refractive Software\Octane Render 1.022 x64\

ill check the script later, maybe i could fix it too

use brackets, eg "c:\Program Files\Refractive Software\Octane Render 1.022 x64\"

As said, the 2008/2009 version handles the arguments to octane in a different way.
And therefore, atlest for now, install your octane to "c:/Octane" or something without spaces, then it works.

This is because the commands used in 2010/2011 was broken in 2008/2009, and its now currently a workaround
for people with 2008/9 to be able to use the exporter.

Is it possible to translate camera roll to octane? If camera roll in 3dsmax is not equal to zero - octane camera isn't match.

my friend i have manage to fix ur script with spaces ;) let me know if u want me to send u

there r also a lot of bugs, ur leaving obj behind when u render anim, also when i use anim mode if i have 10 frames script will run 10 octans in same time...

Is it possible to achieve ,via scripting, that 3ds max continues to export obj frames while previously exported frame is being rendered in octane. That way octane would just fetch next frame from folder without need of waiting for 3ds max.

Well, didn't read all the posts but decided to try the exporter and i keep getting this error.

Max 2010 and max2octane 1.022c.
