For this R3, I spotted some cases where settings are not yet transferred to the sub_material. I 'll sending you by PM a material with which this pb occurs: for Diffuse / Color and for Index / Rgb IOR: the second red value remains on 0.
Prepared a fix on new build(4.0-RC7-R4)

Any update on displacement problems?
Not yet but It's not related with plugins. Better to ask in standalone forums. I believe there are some plans for issues.

Hi, i get this all the time. I guess as described i have to play with drivers? I noticed it happens only when i have denoiser enabled.
edit: it happens when i copy paste objects while in live viewer mode. IT happens also if i close and restart lv.
edit2: oh it happens also without denoiser

Hi Aoktar. This feature still outputs images without alpha channel (in R4 version)
- Added the functionality of saving the any render pass from Live Viewer. You can save a render pass with RMB over pass buttons in Live Viewer

I checked this after your last post. I rendered out a scene in the new version and it out put the alpha just fine for me. PNG 16-bit. Looking at it in Photoshop and it layered over another image fine. Just did it again to test.
But maybe you're using different file types than me.

This functionality is very usefull. Thank you, Aoktar.
However the alpha channel is not correctly saved, I can't make it work here... .EXR or .PNG linear or tonned, it turns to save a black background.

Which passes do you try? It's absolutely working on me. Could you enlight me better by adding a saved image here?

Kalua,
From the LV are you saving via the menu? Then yes, it seems that only saves the Main pass.
What you do is right click on the Demain tab at the bottom and it will give you the option to save. This will save the appropriate type with alpha. See image:

Hi, BCres
Thats what I've been doing... it works. However the alpha won't be saved, I get a black background.
Maybe I'm missing some step...
EDIT: even if I export each image to the picture viewer I get the same result, see attach.
What am I doing wrong?

Sorry but what's tricky? Just click on button, call the save as tonemapped PNG. And open in after effects or pshop to see results.
