Sure. Let's see activate it zoom in/out. Parts of the inner region defined by the border refuse to render anymore and go black. Some times when you pan around some areas refuse to clear of noise/does not render anymore and so on. Only way to get rid of that issue is to disable RR and define it again. And then it might work for a while.

Hello,
First let me thank you for you incredible work JimStar !
So, I wanted to test the displacement mapping function, but when I change the level of details, nothing happens.
It seems to stay in 256x256... Any idea ?
(the resolution of the texture is 8192x8192)

I have a problem with activation.
Just upgraded to octane blender 2.0
When I tried to activate blender on my home computer, an error occurred, octane server crashed.

Reinstaled everything, octane server, blender octane, deactivated all accounts, and tried again.
If I run blender and octane server and start rendering with no accounts info filled at the render panel - rendering starting, but everything is white.
When I tried again to put all needed information to blender render panel and run rendering, octane server crashed...

any sugestions?

Thanks
M.

Guys any news on when the licenses will get updated to 2.0? Are all of you posting these screenshots using the demo?

you can update from the shop - upgrade from 1.x

We have the 2.0 license already for some time.

Thanks 00Ghz for the ultra-fast response! :D
I can't find the upgrade option anywhere, though I purchased 2 licenses of octane blender and upgraded my 2 standalone versions to 2.0. Could you please post a link to where you upgrade your existing licenses?

regards,
Alvaro

EDIT: Nevermind, I just found thelink! :D

I'm redeeming my free upgrades now! wooooooohooooooooooooooooo! :D

Hi, take a look at the manual > http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Blender/?page_id=77
It is very different to the Blender way to add environment textures but work.

Cheers, mib

Thanks mib2berlin, I actually found it an hour after posting yesterday so I removed my post.

Rotation of the sky does seem broken though, but I've already PMed the OP on this.

As for 'the Blender way', no clue! I am switching over from SketchUp to Blender so I am learning it as we speak. And I got the Octane plugin because now it's a 1-program solution.
