What trigonometry has to do with it, at all? While maths and logic has not this specific subset of math, unless someone explain me how cos sen or tg has relevance to one number being greater then the other...

trigonometry, calculus, all the same... common! what a waste of forum space. Do you know what a joke is?

And because, at work we began, few years ago, to implement a Collada importer in our in-house software, but we stopped; we had to much issues with Collada exporters in Max and Maya.
Now, maybe exporters have made progress with collada...
OK Collada & blender are opensource; Sketchup has a free version; but is the professionnal market free or opensource? I don't think so.
Do you want to develop a soft for opensource community or for pro users?
It's your choice and a strategy for your future
I'm sure your choice will be the good one

Oh man right on the spot!

Yeah sure, but first a joke should be funny so others could laugh at, and not just some random words thrown up together...

max > blender hahahaha no I'm just kidding, Open-source is great for sure, still the VAST majority of pro users as for today, use pro software... this might change in the future, but where does Blender staff get all his ideas, if it's not from Autodesk-esque software? And please, don't make me post you work done in max or maya

A professional choose whichever tool he might finds worth, but it's not the tool who makes the work professional or not. As the vast majority, I would say that vast majority doesn't bother with indie software houses, that's just how they behave...

I don't want to start a flame war but bdb actually switched to 3ds max a while ago...

but you're right blender is a fine 3d app.
i'm very happy to support it, along with all other 3d host apps.
