There is a bug. When the scene is reopened octane auto adds xyz to uvw to projection. If you clear projection to none and reopen the scene it will go back to xyz
Texture wood> Amount> input B > Projection
The scene is attached.

Hi coilbook,
Thank you for your scene.
It might comes from the "Auto set Mesh UV Projection" in Octane Preferences / Prev. Versions tab:
Try to disable it.
This automatic creation of a projection should be triggered when loading a scene saved with a version older than 2025.1 - 16.01
With current version 26.7, I can't reproduce your issue. because this scene was saved with 16.03. So if I clear the projection and re-save, the projection will stay empty..
Maybe you are using some older version, where the trigger test was not correct..
Anyway, disable "Auto set Mesh UV Projection" should fix this issue.
Thanks

Hi,
is there anyway to add octane volume mesh as custom reference object inside tyflow?

Hi coilbook,
No, not currently. I'll ask the engine team for a future addition.
That would probably be using the 'Mesh volume SDF' type, and would also work for Vectron objects. but I'm not sure if that's possible..
For your previous question, the tyFlow Zenith / volume support is almost finished, and should be released soon.
Thanks

Thank you for great news! I also hope fire color, etc can be controlled directly inside tyflow or using octane volume textures. It would be nice to have two options.

By the way, was this ever added? I thought I saw a post where it was added
viewtopic.php?p=443422#p443422
Trying to achieve the same in octane like they did in vray not sure if octane can do it

No, this was not added. It's a bit tricky because the expected way is a multi material with several mix materials inside. But I see that this would be very convenient if it could work the way you described. I'll try to add this in a next release.
For tyFlow volume, yes, the color channel will supported, and a tyFlow volume modifier will allow to select an octane medium and assign the channels, like for Phoenix FD volumes.

I lost the overview a bit here in the threads.
I'm still running 3dsmax 2024 because of all the lagging reports with newer versions. So also on Octane 2025.5- 16.12.
Reading here all the posts it seems its a bit dangerous for updating to latest version? Especially if I render out of core with really heavy scenes? I'm not working with particles and clouds like others here.
