Hi,
I’m using OctaneRender 2026 for Houdini and I noticed a difference between the standard Octane plugin at Object/SOP level and the Solaris (LOPs / USD) integration.
In the regular Octane plugin, I can use the new OpenPBR Surface and Realistic Lenses. However, when working in Solaris, these are not available — I only see the Standard Surface, and neither OpenPBR Surface nor Realistic Lenses are exposed.
Could you clarify why there is this difference between the Object-level plugin and the Solaris integration?
Is this a current limitation of the Octane USD/Hydra implementation, and are these features planned to be supported in Solaris in a future update?
Thanks!
