Hello bepeg4d!
So I've been testing this feature on
Octane 2024.1-[R3] but somehow I still
can't denoise light passes. Is there perhaps any other setting I might be missing? Thank you!
EDIT: Solved it via Open Image Denoise node! Works perfectly!
Hi,
I can't in any way get the Light ID with denoiser, how do you apply in detail?
How should I apply the Open Image Denoise node?
Thanks!
Stefano

Hi Stefano,
I've posted the example scene here:

let me know if something is still unclear.

But why is it so complicated and not a simple tick on the settings?
I tried but it doesen't work, maybe because I render with Aces profile?

You need to add the Tonemapping on top of the denoised AOVs, also ACES Tonemapping.
It needs to be done in Compositor so it is a bit more complex to set up, but it should be more easy in future, the devs are working on it.
ciao,
Beppe

Could you show me how I can integrate ACES Tonemapping?
Thanks a lot!

Beppe implied a universal principle: "display conforming" (colloquially referred as "Tonemapping" is invariably applied "last" in the signal chain (at the exception of edge cases such as dithering).
