Some months ago there was very great lessons about scene nodes in C4D :
https://www.core4d.com but they removed them. Go here and ask. I have them but they was payed. Just ask, many hours of great tutorials about scene nodes.

Yup, been watching a bunch of videos, I'm very intrigued. I feel like I need to watch videos of people using geometry nodes to the extreme to understand the value of it, but I'm so happy you made me look at it so I can start opening my mind to it.
But is this really what has been used in the Blender videos i linked? I have a feeling everything in these videos have been done in the material nodes only, as also proven by @funk and his successful attempt in the Standalone. Am I wrong?
Also, @funk - tried it in the 2022 standalone version, looks perfect. Just tried it on the 2022 RC2 C4D version but it has the same issue. The Fraction node seems to fail, and there is no Length node in the Math nodes. Aoktar, or anyone, any input on this? No way around it in C4D? Am I missing something? Really really hoping to get this to work somehow, so many people are going to benefit.

At the moment Blender has the best node system in the term of materials and geometry. You can do that in C4D but much more time consuming and not that intuitive.
When I saw how they did river bank with plants or castle walls using only nodes - I thought that their node system is the best.
