Hmm, try turning on the Ripple effect in the C4D displacer modifier.

Emitter + Displacement with Field Falloff set to Emitter.
Then modify the Falloff spline:

P.S. works in motion.
+ Make your spline to look like this:
For a more natural Falloff.

By the way, ripples start to appear before the raindrop touches the surface,
you can fix this simply by changing the offset slider in the Falloff tab.
Or add a time field.
+ tweak the sliders and everything should look just fine.

@lanklaf , i dont know where am i doing wrong , but mine doesnt look like yours. I am horrible doing the splines, I never done before so i tried my best for a first time

but there is no effect on the surface

You don't have any displacement because you should plug in some color or gradient into displacement shader in shading tab, for example simple white color

+ increase plane polygons to 500x500,
It's 10x10 by default.

You can select spline preset under the spline editor. Select something that looks like flipped "U". Than, select all the spline dots, right click and select "double", than do it again.
Also make displacement hight much lower, around 1 cm.
