Hi Chris,
Thanks for the replay re: virtual textures. Would it ever be possible to parse the VT texture source index and translate those textures out ? i mean, i don't expect Octane to directly render from UE4's VT database but is the possibility exposed to translate out the source textures ? if so this let's me work in VT mode in UE4 but still have Octane churn on the original textures (even if it means out of core)
This would be a workflow improvement while we're still navigating the pros/cons of UE4/Octane and Brigade soon and where it makes the most sense to use each offering. We're still using VR for lots of workflow but i'm trying to build a path out to Octane without needing to build a project specifically for Octane. Appreciate your work a lot !
Thanks,

Could you scroll down and see if there are errors that arnt about A_REST_MATRIX
Do simple scenes also not work?
And could you change the rendertarget from "DeMain" to "Main" in the unreal viewport?

For 30XX cards, make sure to use a NVIDIA Studio driver with version at least 451 on Windows

Hello Chris, is there a way of baking in UE4, with baking IDs like we do in other DCC apps?
I can import baked orbx, but don't find where i can change the object id.
If not what are the plans of supporting baking, will it be Brigade Lightmaps?
Best

Could you explain what you mean by importing a baked orbx?
There are plans for lightmapping, but they were hold off to see how unreals GPU lightmapper will do.
You can change object id's by adding a octane object layer component to an unreal component.

Unreal Engine 4.25
Could you provide the octane logs?
- Go to the unreal main toolbar
- Click the octane dropdown arrow and select "OctaneGUI"
- In the OctaneGUI, go to windows and select "Create log window"
I also could not render using octane in Unreal Engine. I am using RTX 2070 super, unreal 4.25.3

Your cuda driver is to low. You should update to the latest nvidia drivers.
