I wouldnt count on this.
S22 needs newer Nvidia drivers on which Octane v4 does not run good at all. They would need to update v4 to Optix7 (v4 uses optix6) and I don't think they will do that anymore.
Is that why octane 4 keeps crashing C4D R21? because I'm using the latest Nvidia Studio driver (451.77)?
Is it true that Otoy will not update octane 4 to optix7?

The development of Octane has progressed far beyond Octane 4 at this point, and retrofitting may not be possible. Please look at upgrading to the latest version of Octane, as the recent release works very well with s22 and many new features have been added to Octane since version 4.

We’ve updated to Optix 7, it was a complete rewrite of core and it’s in Octane 2020.1, which if you are counting versions is V8. It’s impossible to go back 4 versions - just get maintenance and stay up to date, it’s about 14.95/month for 2 year plan, and includes all DCC plugins, services and new offers like EmbergenFX free beta, Sculptron, RNDR and more to come.

Hi, Aoktar
Is there a plan to develop a plugin for linux version of C4D S22?

Does anyone else think this is okay? I already paid $620 for the full plugin. I understand that you are switching to subscription based services but why am I the one to take the hit?
