You can try 2018 at free, didn't you consider it?

Transition version to 2019. Yes free means no pay. See download area or forum links

I was under the impression that I couldn’t use any version beyond v4 without paying / updating my licence ?
If this is not the case, please point me where I need to go. I’ve looked into 2018.1.3 & it needs Standalone 2018.1 which states it needs Studio or Enterprise subscription license. I’ve never had a subscription license. Confusing?

You need to select your purchased version from the Select Software pop up:

Yup, apparently even the team get confused by the whole setup, ha!

I'm not overly impressed that I've been told on here that I can get 2018 for free / no pay, when I clearly cannot. What a massive waste of time!!

Maintenance for the latest version, if you are a V3/V4 owner, is as low as 14.95/month, and you get all plugins, cloud etc. for half the price of subs. If you want octane 2020+ for less, then use the plugins in our free tier or wait for octane X to come for new pro Macs which will also activate for free.
