Hi beppe
ah ok, that works fine.
- i export from from sketcup via extensions > octane > export to .ocs / .orbx
- i then import test.ocs into sketchup
- and i double click the ocs node
- and now i can replace object's as i like
but is it possible to update the model from sketchup, without having to import again?
thanks

Hi jorgensen,
in the Node inspector of the geometry node, you can load a new file, or reload the same if updated:

Updating instances can be faster, take a look here:
viewtopic.php?f=73&t=57252
Then look for 'Load instances'. With this you can simply press ALT+1 in Octane and it will simply refresh all scatter nodes (but im not sure this shortcut was by default, I might've set that up somewhere)

hi beppe
sorry, i was not clear enough in my question.
if i have a house, where i add some objects - like chairs.... i can then export the model from skechup and import the model into the standalone.
here i can doubleclick the imported node, and in here i can relink the chair_dummy to a high quality octane model.
but... if i move the chairs or add some more chairs - how do i then update this (skatter info?) onto the standalone?
i know i can export / import again, but that removes any changes made to the dummies.
thanks

Hi jorgensen,
then you can copy paste the content of the updated scatter node, from Sketchup plugin to Standalone.
