So I've fixed the problem.

Turns out I had multiple drivers installed on my machine which I believe was the issue. I had 354.xx plus 372.xx plus CUDA plus something else. I uninstalled anything Nvidia on my machine and then reinstalled just 372.70 and now everything is working exactly like it should!

Thanks for telling me about the driver issues because I never would have thought to check what else I had installed as well. FYI, all I have installed now is the Geforce Experience Application and then 372.70 driver...I didn't include any of that other NVidia nonsense in there such as 3D Vision, etc.

What I did recently is used DDU (Driver Display Uninstaller) which wipes out all possible drivers from the system.
And I instaled everything but GeForceExperience

I'll be using Render Queue with animation I produce at the moment pretty soon. I'll let you know if complete driver wipeout worked for me either.

Just an FYI, once I put my GTX670 back into my machine, the problem started to happen again. The issue is probably less related to drivers and more related to having cards with different architectures on them. Just a heads up if you use multiple cards...

I have the same Issue with my setup. After a random number of frames rendered Octane freezes, although Cinema seems to be still working, of course now useless.
I found this, when looking through the log:
"CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered"
Which didn't really lead to anything. (At least I am not computer man enough to find something so I could have put my finger on it)
Sometimes even one of my Cards clocks down and gets stuck at 540Mhz until I reboot the hole damn system.
I tried everything from clean driver re-installs, to card swapping. I have a gtx 780 and a 780 Ti .. temperatures are not the culprit, since I have the fans on full speed and the temps never climb over 65-70...
Im starting to suspect that one of my cards simply is faulty..
Will test a little more and report if I find something new.

Oh and I am using Windows 8.1, so no windows 10 bug possible here.

@adamwhatelse - your'e using two cards of the same architecture, so the issue of different architectures is not in your case either...

What happens on Picture Viewer rendering? And which version?

Sry, haven't been to the forum in a while!
It seems that one of my cards is faulty.
I recently switched to a whole new system, with new CPU, Mobo, Windows 10 and all, but got stuck with my two old cards, and the problem still persists.
Just a few days ago, I switched off the 780 for rendeirng, and only use it for the Display, and it seems to do the trick.
Saving every penny now for a 1080Ti...

You can try to go to you power management settings and switch power management for pci-e to "off". That seemed to ease the pain a little, but I still had some crashes every now and then.
