Sadly Octane does not care a bit about Image Editor settings, it reads the images directly so this does not work either :(
Thanks for the tip anyway :)

Ohh sad news then :(

Then at least you can save a step to not need to use Photoshop. Yuo can load HDRI into image editor and then do Full precise blur interactively, then double click image at image editor and then when popup opens you save it as new HDR blurred version and use that.

Nice idea again but when I double-click on the blurred image in Image Editor, it opens the image viewer but orignal, not blurred :(

I just tested (again), added FP Blur image processing to HDR (32 pixels) and opened it again in image editor and it opened blurred image just fine.
LW 2015.3

Strange :o

I tried with EXR and HDR, did this:
-Open image editor (F6)
-Load image
-On Processing tab click Add filter and select Full Precision blur
-Set the values so that you see the blur effect on thumbnail in Image editor
-Double-click the thumbnail
-Image viewer opens and shows the NON-blurred image

Is that what you did exactly? If not, what was different?
This is getting mystic if you did exactly that because I have same LW version :o

Weird... :o
Thank you very much for your time!

Has anyone else tried this (or if not, could someone please try)? I would like to know if it's my system that is weird or is Lewis's system somehow special :D

There was one TINY but obviously significant difference, I double-clicked the thumbnail and you double-clicked the NAME, now it works for me as well!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :)

Ahh sorry I didn't notice that in your description, yes DBLClick on left side/filename :).

I'm glad it works for you now.

Yes it works but it's a bit weird, the blur you see on the thumbnail is much stronger than the blur on the actual image :o
It seems to be resolution-related because with small image it is quite close to what the thumbnail shows but with hires (15000x7500) I needed to add 4 filters at max (32) to get the blur that looked the same as in the thumbnail :D
So it seems like it does it directly to the thumbnail and not the original image when showing the effrect on thumbnail :D

But as said, anyway it works and you see the real effect on image viewer so it's ok :)

Thank you again!
