People complaining, stuff is not working, promised things stay promised. The forum is filled with this.
Meanwhile...
https://home.otoy.com/hbo-and-discovery ... -platform/

It will go on like this FOREVER.
Sad to see but this whole thing is going down.

Oh dear, starting to think Rob you could be right , there is that feeling that since Otoy bought Octane it has been 'Autodesked'.
Waste of a great engine if it goes that way

I dont have any problems with new 3.0. I've upgraded and just started to use in serious 4k feature film. No problems with volumetrics from fume fx, no crashes, smooth and 100 times faster than flickering vray. No way back.
So I guess there is a lot not experienced people out there who can't just find some workarounds while software is still in the development. I have made the whole team to switch into octane (from vray) and they dont regret.

After Karba Otoy can't find good programmers able to code with c++, Cuda and Max Sdk.
All over the world there are very few programmers with good skills cgi oriented.
it's not easy to find persons like Vlado, Ondra and Andrey...that's why we have so few renderers that really work and are well integrated in 3ds Max.
If Otoy don't find good programmers Octane for Max development will end.
