Ok Aoktar, yes that makes sense, only issue I have now is that the render layers don't show as boxes in my live view?

we haven't ever presented that as buttons. Just you can see results in passes/buttons for black/colored shadows and reflections. they are as in render layer section. Also you can't see layer masks for per I'd. Because they haven't equivalent of these in renderer. Just an extraction by plugin from render layer alpha after running separe render sessions.creativebloke wrote:Ok Aoktar, yes that makes sense, only issue I have now is that the render layers don't show as boxes in my live view?
Thanks. Btw do you mean to use this passes like that?shoqman wrote:Yes this is confusing to me as well. I used to be able to very quickly see any info channel or render layer I had set up, to check that shadows and reflections for example were what I expected them to be. This was accomplished via the "passes" tab and was very convenient.
How does one replicate this functionality now?
PS This is my first post, and I should state- Octane is amazing. Truly incredible and extremely well done with the integration. We have a Lightwave Octane user and a Maya Octane user in the studio as well, and the C4D version is just awesome. So first of all, THANKS!
LMB has a secret task for switching the info display modes. It works on top half area of LV. I hope you know other features of LV render area?shoqman wrote:Actually, the only problem with this is sometimes I cannot get the info to show up on the bottom of the Live Viewer. Like the scene I was using that worked yesterday now will not show the info down there today, so I cannot click the different buttons to see the different passes.
I have clicked everything I can find that looks like it might be the setting to turn those on and haven't found anything yet. I seem to remember that sometimes it shows up and sometimes it just doesn't.
Am I missing something?
