I don't get how pressing "C" is doing anything.
I'm also in need of converting a scattered distribution to mesh : /

Did you switch to "Display Type=Object" first? I ask because I'm not sure how to go about it.

Hi there,

I just tried Ahmet's display as object hit c trick but it doesn't work for me... doesn't matter how hard I hit C :) is this a version thing I'm still on 3.07 or am I missing something.

Thanks

Hi

I just wanted to let everyone know that this has been fixed in the "3.08.1 version" of the plugin. Hitting C now works as expected, there was nothing wrong with your keyboards. ;)

Cheers

Perhaps in versions prior to R19 that C trick worked, but R19 has been acting very goofy for me vs. previous versions.

The editable trick does work but it doesn't respect all the random / plain effectors applied to an Octane Scatter object. All my geometry scales down and mismatches unfortunately. Any way to keep an editable Scatter object to respect C4D effectors?

Yes it looks like it's broken again. (I'm on 4.01.1 and R19) :(

One method that worked for me recently is this:

- Switch 'Display type' to Object
- Create a Connect object and uncheck 'Weld'
- Drag the Scatter inside Connect
- Select Connect and hit C

Cheers

Great tip Milan !
I needed to do this today for the 1st time & found your solution.
I always forget how useful the 'Connect' object is for these kind of workarounds.
