What was the solution/cause of this? I am also experiencing this. Maybe installing a plugin update over the old one is to blame? I will try to completely remove the octane plugin and then reinstall it.

It seems to be limited to certain materials in my case. Here is a material that is empty in Modo, but is fine in standalone: "Metal Dirt v3."

I have refreshed the LiveDb downloads to hopefully fix your issue. Pls see the release notes for TEST release 3.0.4.95 for details.

Hi Fred, have you re-downloaded and installed the LiveDb as per https://docs.otoy.com/Modo/?page_id=909?

Hi, Fred,

I, too, experienced the same problem after upgrading and following the information here: https://docs.otoy.com/Modo/?page_id=909. But there were a couple of ways to fix it.

Solution 1: Reload the scene by pressing the reload button on the Octane toolbar. So, when you drag the Octane material from the root of the Shader Tree into whatever material group you created for your model and the Octane material doesn't load, hit Reload.

Solution 2: If that didn't work, try adding a UV map to your model. Make sure to delete the default "texture" UV map in Modo and create a new one. Finally, apply the Octane material.

Hope that helps.
