You can already do this by selecting the material name you want to paste to and then selection the rightclick menu option "Paste Glossy to all Materials named [material name]".

Thanks Paul, I already know the function, but I propose a different thing ..

EXAMPLE
I have a project with 50 objects with 50 appointed materials that contain the word "prop"
prop_1
prop_2
prop_3
prop-red
prop_verde
prop__grande
prop ++ small
etc
then I copy and paste it into a material all materials CONTAIN (attention) the word "prop"
now that's not possible now paste only materials that have exactly the selected name

You can currently copy a material into the clipboard, then select all the materials above and do a multi-material paste. Pasting to all materials with the word "prop" in them seems like a very specific situation - I doubt that function would be useful to the majority of users.

Perhaps a custom input kinda like how Search/Replace works?

Add a feature that says "Paste [Material Node] to all Materials containing..." which brings up a dialogue box for text input and the user can type in whatever they need to get the job done, (in Andygraph's case: typing "prop") and it would paste the material to any material name containing whatever they typed?

Would this be possible Paul?

I'll be honest....this change is not exciting me. I'd rather put development effort into the Poser 11 version, and Octane 3 than enhancements such as this.

Well yes, priorities like Poser 11 and Octane 3 come first. It was just a possible idea for later.
