Here´s Otoys renders:

Get new Kolor 1.4 player and see the spherical render. Quite stunning indeed.

(btw, is that absinth on the kitchen table? :D )

Yeah that looks awesome. But it is still laggy for me. I tried messing with the vertical syncing in the invidia control panel but I still can't fix it for some reason. It works perfectly smooth on my monitor, but is choppy on the OR.

Thanks everyone for the input too. Getting places here.

Try turning triple buffer off. If I remember correctly, Oculus recommends this to be off.. I may be wrong though.

LFedit wrote:What can I do with octane?
Currently Octane can be used for rendering 360x180 images using the "panoramic camera", I set spherical projection at 5000x2500 resolution. Its a good idea to set vignetting to 0 (in imager node) Stereo output setting depends on the program that you are using to convert for delivery, I use Right and Left output.

(Some time in the near future you can continue with Otoy/Octane but for now once you have your left and right renders you are done.)

I have some samples rendered with octane here:
http://gigavr.com

With threejs.org or mozvr.com you can map the render to a sphere for free using a bit of programming.

http://krpano.com can be used to convert the renders to a stereo vr experience with hotspots but it's 129 € so you may want to wait to see what this Oculus app and Otoy settings will be.

r-username, with latest 2.21 version you can render 12288 x 3072 side by side stereo panoramas, spherical or cubic, with one render..

I have triple buffering off and still a little lag. I have always had better luck with direct mode. Is this possible with kolor eyes?

Nope, Kolor works only in extended mode..

But here´s Oculus detailed instructions.

Damn, alright thanks. Still a fuzz laggy. Enough to frustrate me. I tried all the zero latency settings on their site too. I even dedicated one of my titan blacks just to the OR..

I don't know what the hell i did but it is working now. I was getting some .dll error, then I resintalled the firmware and now it works awesome. Even better when I minimize the computer display and only have the OR display up. Thanks everyone for the help, this is awesome.
