Again, thanks for the update and the file-download.
PS: Our shaders that we converted from the Poser plug-in to DAZ Studio by painstakingly recreating every single shader node, are not carrying over correctly into 2.21.
Although the basic structure of the shader seems to be correct, all texture and opacity maps are deleted and replaced with 255/255/255 RGB colors.
Any way to fix this?
*UPDATE*
Just tried reassigning all the texture maps inside 2.1 saving then loading it again has the same results --> texture maps will be deleted out of their original nodes and replaced by RGB color nodes.

The latest update is solving a lot of issues ( more stable, load/save enabled ).
A couple bugs I noticed:
- converting a material to specular often leads to empty Specular and Roughness settings which do not appear in the quick edit tab ( can be modified in the NGE but it takes time to update all these materials by hand ).
- the environment presets keep adding up in the menu each time you save and load ( it looks like it's the same for render settings ).
- NOT A BUG but I haven't found where to load a sky texture map in the daylight settings ( as opposed to how it is done in Octane 2 standalone ).
Except for that, this is excellent work !!

When importing an orbx file and applying the settings to a surface from the scene, changing the texture maps does no effect and it sticks with the orbx file textures when rendering.

A very specific bug:
If I load a mesh with a custom/embedded texture, it loads and renders as expected.
But if I attempt to access the Textures or System tab, the program halts and hangs and the process needs to be stopped.
Hope this is helpful. I will continue to explore this issue to see if there are any other elements in this bug.
Thanks again,
PizmoSF

@all thanks for the misc. notes - going to address most of them for another update tomorrow. also the problem with geometries & rotation, causing rigged objects to appear off their correct position, is going to be fixed then.
one more thing: if you report issues, pls add if you are on v1.5 or v2.1, since some of them might be version dependent...

I can confirm that saving and loading octane materials with .duf works as posted.

Oh, great... Trying the to install the latest update. Upon clicking install, i'm informed that the "Plugin installer has stopped working" providing me with no further details. What's worse, it now does the same no matter which version I attempt to install! Please help.

there seems to be a problem with the (3rd party) packager, at least with windows 8.1:
