Hello Aoktar,
Unfortunately, it is impossible to texture so.
I have fit a company logo and the needs the right proportion.
In the current method, I can only guess if it fits on the scaling.
Would this proposal work:
I binder surface by mapping the texture in Cinema and create a second UVW Map.
The projection I assign Octane?
I hope can do something like this, because i need it necessarily

why imposible? No i don't think so. You can manually scale via transfor or projection scale. W/H -> goes to S.X.
Even you can scale linked dummy with same way.
I could implemented that if your request is possible or easy

easiest way currently that creating a button like "Set ratio" or "keep ratio" in imagetexture or transform node

for now, this way ok.
but if u can later implement my workflow, it will be better

your workflow can be impossible or hard to integrate current system. Can't say soo much now

sry aoktar, but the transform tool is totaly confused.
maybe it is a bug....i hope u can help me.
My texture was ok, but there are some strange errors?
