The automatic fill in is fine ... but having the ability to type in several IP addresses of the machines you know you have and want to use would be perfect.

Is that an easy thing to do... and is there a good reason not to have that option?

Thanks

Peter
I don't see how typing in the addresses is an advantage over having the list populated for you?

cheers,

Someties I'm on a local wireless network that generates an IP but the slaves are on a hardwired network so it will not naturally go find them.

Even though the distance might be far and the speed of transferring data slow etc... it would be great if I can assign it so it forces it to use the slave I want.

Or lest say you have one slave on one IP and another on a different one... will it find both?

Thanks for the quick reply

Peter

Hi,

Sorry for my confusion, for your use case it won't work - assuming that the wired and wireless devices are on a different subnet (which is usually not the case, I checked here in the office and my workstation and phone are on the same subnet). In that case having a list of ip addresses is the only option. You can work around this by starting the slave directly on those machines and configure them with the ip address of the master.

cheers,
Thomas
