Hi Victor

The demo is available at http://render.otoy.com/downloads.php.

The installer assumes Poser Pro 2014, so you will need to copy the addons folder structure to your Poser 10 folder.
My other issue is currently when I export out of Poser as an OBJ file, it does create an MTL file as well. But when load the OBJ into Octane, it would always ask me for the location of certain materials.
The MTL file exported from Poser probably does not contain the full path to the texturemap file, so Octane Standalone cannot find that file. If you copy the texturemaps used by the OBJ into the same folder as the OBJ then Octane Standalone should be able to load them correctly.

UGH, I'm blind. How could I not see the Demo section. :P

Ok, I installed the demo package and it did make a Poser Pro 2014>Runtime>Python>addons>OctaneRender for Poser folder with all the files. I did copy the OctaneRender folder into my Poser 10>Runtime>Python>addons folder as you said. The same thing happens as did when the Plug in was for the 1.5 version of Octane. I get, within Poser, WIndow>Addons>OctaneRender for Poser (which is checked). But there is no option for Octane under the Render menu.

Mac OS X Mavericks
16 GB Ram
GeForce GTX 780M
Poser 10.0.3.26066
Octane Plugin for Poser Demo 2.6.0.23

Hi Victor

I suspect the current OSX plugin version is compiled for 64bit only - and Poser 10 is 32bit. I will need to investigate if a 32bit version is possible.

I kind of thought that might be the problem. I was looking at our last conversation when the plugin was for v1.5 and I think there was the same issue.

Thank you so much for your support on this. I hope you do find a solution soon. After watching the tutorials on Youtube about this plugin, I'm very anxious to use it.

Same here - really want to buy this plugin after seeing the Youtube videos, but it doesn't work with Poser 10 at the moment.

I have tested on Poser 10, and can confirm it's not working, most probably due to being 32 bit. I will need to look into this in more detail next week. It should be possible to compile a 32bit version.

On a side note... is there a way to download the manual for Octane 2.0? I see there is the online manual but I prefer to be able to download a PDF and print it off to use as reference.

There is not currently a downloadable version of the manual (but I agree - it would be very useful). Ideally there would be a tool available to scan the online manual and convert to PDF - so if you know of such a tool - pls let me know.

Hi Paul,

Any update on getting the demo plugin working with Poser 10?
