I just don't understand why you would knowingly put out a product with such bugs. Don't get me wrong, it's the best thing going and I love it. But really? Maybe a bit more beta testing next round. :D

Given the substantial features added, and the number of users who have started using it in the past 2 days, the number of bugs reports is tiny in comparison, so I think Otoy have done a great job with this.

yes i have to say paul i with you on this one. bug happen and how fast you fix issue. is not really matter. to me any way,

new features = bugs

The Otoy devs have investigated this issue and found the error to be happening inside the OpenSubiv library (which is external to the Octane library). So it will not be a simple fix, but they are looking into it in more detail.

So for figures which cause this error - use Poser Subdivision instead of Octane subdivision.

not sure what been done in new version 2.0 but my renders are so much cleaner i gone to get version 1.50 and version 2.0 screen.so you can see the difference

is any one else seeing this on there renders?

Just on the oft chance I'm doing something wrong, but is anyone else have problems moving the sun (Daylight) in Poser and have it translate into Octane while rendering? I also have a texture loaded up in case that matters.

Just on the oft chance I'm doing something wrong, but is anyone else have problems moving the sun (Daylight) in Poser and have it translate into Octane while rendering? I also have a texture loaded up in case that matters.
Sam, I just checked, and setting the Environment to Daylight, and then moving the infinite light called "Daylight" correctly moved the Octane sun.

Ok, operator error I guess. A fresh test scene worked fine. I reloaded the original scene and it works too! Dunno what happened before but all is good now!! Thanks Paul!
