Hi Paul,
I've sent you a mail with the download link!
I can't find absolute no rules for both problems.
The material no-updates often fail with loading DB-materials like carpaints or the mirror material
Greetings,
Artur

Hi Paul,
I've just noticed that mapping-size for specular, opacity,... is not taken over from the Archicad size.
(For diffuse it is)
Greetings
Artur

Fixed in the next version.
Thanks

- sometimes when editing (octane) materials or when loading one from the DB, the viewport refreshes but the changed material
stays without any change. Even pressing 'refreshing geometry/materials' doesn't help. I have to close/open the plugin, then
it will be actualised
I noticed that sometimes if an ArchiCAD element (say a wall) has a material which is a simple color, and no texture map, then it does NOT provide the Octane plugin with UV coordinates for that item. So when you then assign a texturemap to the Octane material, there are no UV's for Octane to display the texturemap on the geometry, so it appears that material changes are not propagating through to the Octane scene. Does this perhaps explain what you are seeing?

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:
1.52.0.11
- Fixed issue where bump, specular and opacity maps were not being scaled by the ArchiCAD material scale

...
Well, when changes are made in Archicad - it's clear that I have to reconvert the material
That, and also for new materials with textures, this mapping-thing didn't work up to now.
But now this problem is solved
Thanks!

Are there any plans to develop a plugin for Mac OS X?

I have started and stopped the OS X port of the plugin a few times, so yes, there have been plans, but right now it is on hold. There are two issues - one being that there are stringent rules around what version of XCode you need to compile different ArchiCAD versions of OS X plugins, which means you really need two Mac's - each with different versions of OS X installed (for example AC15 needs SL & XCode 3.6 which is no longer available and AC18 needs ML+ & XCode 4.0).
The second issue is that ArchiCAD OS X uses a slightly different format to store numbers to ArchiCAD on Windows. So a lot of code and testing would need to go into ensuring if you save on one platform and load on the other, the scene would not get corrupted.

Thanks Paul. It doesn't sound too promising for now. I've been using another external renderer that produces great images at the expense of time. Octane Render would be a real boost to my rendering/animation productivity.

Hi Everyone - we are looking for some architectural promo images, and would be incredibly grateful if you have any which we could use. If so, could you pls email to paul at physicalc-software dot com.
Thanks
Paul
