even Version 1.2 is not recognized as a Version above 1.18 - hdr-live-plugin still asks for Version 1.18b or higher.

Mac Cinema R15 w/ Octane 1.20a. HDR Light Studio 'installed version' error. I'm guessing this is a HDRLS problem rather than an Octane problem. Hopefully, Lightmap is monitoring this post and will respond promptly. I have owned HDRLS for months and have been waiting patiently for a working C4D/Octane integration.

I have had the same problem with 1.20a with the error message of trying out the HDR Light Studio Plugin. Then I deleted the C4doctane folder in my plugin folder and copied the new 1.21a in. After that it worked... and I noticed,that I had renamed the Plugin folder from "Octane-for-C4D-1.20a-win" to "c4dOctane-1.20a" before, because I was used to the plugin showing up like this in C4D. Maybe anybody else renamed the Plugin directory and that might cause issues?
And I didn`t install C4Doctane with the exe installer on my system yet, so maybe there might also be registry issues or something like that with older versions installed?

Octane plugin has a versioning information since 1.18b. The problem may be there. Not need to reinstall via installer, only copying must be enough.

i replaced the whole octane-plugin-folder ( V 1.20) wih the latest one ( 1.21a) and now it works!
no errormessage at startup anymore.
a big thank you to the HDR-Light-Studio-guys. this plugin is a game-changer. in combination with octane it is pure awesomeness! thanks a lot!
