For practicality, may I suggest that some nodes are not "not connected" by default? Or, at least, that it's possible to paste copied nodes into "not connected" nodes? For example, changing the diffuse node from "RGB image" to a "mix" node results on two not connected nodes, and it's not possible then to just paste the (copied beforehand) RGB image node back into one of the nodes. This is a little clumsy to handle.

I think that is the first one on the "todo" list which Paul mentioned

How do you now rotate the HDRI image in the 'environment' node. Changing the 'X' and 'Y' slider in '3D Transformation' doesn't change the background image. 'Z' slider just screws it all up.
Change the projection to spherical, then rotate the projection
This whole projection and transform thing is a bit strange. I hope there will be some documentation soon to explain what they actually do
That worked, didn't see the other rotation node under projection.
You're right about a re-write of the manual.
Thanks for your help.

You're right, sorry. I guess I should have read that first.

May have to go back to the previous version until some of these issues are resolved.
Why... when setting 'rayepsilon' to 0.00 now produce blotchy textures... it never use to and was a great way to hide hair model clashes and eye socket dark patches.

Deane - can you provide a screenshot with the entire error msg pls?
Does it happen when the viewport is opened, closed or either?
Does the material you are trying to convert have Octane nodes saved to the Poser material?

The old version was not actually setting rayepsilon to 0 when you entered 0 - it was setting it to something like 0.00001. Now 0 is truely 0. Does entering '1e-05' work?

Found something harmless, thought I'd mention it regardless. When saving a pose to the Poser library while the Octane plugin is open, I just got this message from Main Wacros window: Exception in OctaneRender for Poser objectsAdded
I am unable to reproduce this issue. Can you pls list the steps taken to get this error? Preferable on the default Andy scene.

Thanks

Paul

Um... the entire error message either scrolls off to oblivion or I'm missing where to capture it.
But since trying it again... I now get the following error message... probably means I need to restart the system or buy another graphics card.
This happens with the viewport opened or closed.
And it looks like so far setting rayepsilon to 0.00001 fixes the problems... further testing needed.

Ok... sorted it a bit... only occurs with 'London'... this product http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/the- ... 4-2/97977/
selecting HR texture in Poser and then updating in Octane causes it to spit the dummy.
On the second attempt trying to create the error again after a reboot. The same error message appear as shown above and Poser proceeded to hang and Windows said it wasn't responding... big dump!

First kill to me! after trying reload reconvert this material from poser come up with this error

ps then it will crash poser pro 2014

ps there was this errror message as well

I cannot reproduce this error. I /think/ it is related to materials being "external" nodes - but the 2 materials attached to the material mix need to be "internal". It may also be related to loading 1.20 version pz3 files. Can you reproduce this by applying that material to Andy, then re-converting from Poser? If you can provide a reproduceable set of steps, then I can track it down.

Yes this seems to be serious issues with this release at the moment

My workflow as follows

Load poser

Import v4.2 character into poser

Use default model of LYON HAIR BASE

from http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/inde ... ndor=danae

SAME as RGUS is using quite honestly properly but 90% of the forum
who use poser

also enclosed my POC FILE this may help you?

Just an update I've checked other vendors. And it looks like it does the same error. Take just about any vendor and skin V4.2 and the program will crash.
