I've got a soft spot for drumkits as well. Drums + Octane = pure coolness

Excellent work ! The cover of the drumshells and the hammered surface of the cymbals are fantastic. It really looks real !

how do you manage this nice slow dof animation ?
is it done in post ( in 3dsmax we can't control the Dof )

Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it
All the DOF is was rendered in Octane. With the C4D plug in there is a focus distance slider that I keyframed.

Are you sure it's a render and not some video clip? Are you cheating us man???

This is Fantastic! Very good animation work and use of DOF. If you don't mind I would love to ask a few questions!
What settings were you using for this animation? Direct-lighting, path-tracing or Pmc? Also do you have a link for the creators of the HRDI you were using, looks like it does a fantastic job!
Thanks for your time!
Regards,
Sixthlaw

Hey sixthlaw thanks for the comments.
The settings were Directlight AO with just 3 bounces on glossy actually. The HDRI was from Luxology and was free. I can't remember where the official link is, so here a personal link to it.
