i'm from time to time also working on a set of hq default mats for the plugin; regarding teeth here is the current state: comments welcome. this mat is btw procedural apart from a single opacity map (that needs to fit the geometry of course). in other words the reflections are real. light sources were: a very dim sun environment (sunset from the right), a yellowish plate on the left, and a ring "flash" in front.
this is only working with the pt/pmc kernels - no way to get with dl. in this image it looks like there is a little to much shine through but this will be probably gone as soon there is no light coming from behind (= when used as usual)...
