@niuq-cam : very impressive work !

What is the problem with disconnected nodes ?
Do you mean that you put models under the ground mesh to hide them without loosing materials ? I used this method in the past, but the best solution imho is to save all important models as macros. It allows to delete them and reload at will.

I am not sure, but disconnected nodes seem to be counted in System RAM, but not on GPU VRAM.
Hello Roubal ! I only connect always all the nodes by affecting one poly (a rectangle) to a material underground.
So i never have disconnected nodes. (550 nodes on my project) :twisted:
The inconvenient with this method is that Octane always load all the textures.
When rendering my movie, scene by scene, i will delete all the materials unusued ans all the polys hidden.

Thank you attusind, bicket and refracty my friend. :D
Special dedicace to atome You see^^ ;)

Now, i have to tweak a little more the sequence 1 et 2. (carshaders and dusty atmosphere) :geek:
See U

Excellent !

In fact, Roubal, the problem is to keep the liaison between the nodes, if we forget or hide a material in c4d and export, the liaison will be lost and kept lost at the next export with the material.

I have the same workflow for 3DS max, I use Craft Director Studio, but I keep having to back to Max 2012 even though the bulk of my work is done in 2013, for some reason Autodesk no longer bundles CDS with Max anymore
