Ttaberna, if I had a beach like you do, they would better come out with water proof notebooks or I wouldn't work a single day, lol

Is the grass made of billboards with alpha, or did you model each piece ?

billboards with alpha, there is a shot of the mesh somewhere in the wip forum. I couldn't fit single blades as the model is using 1100Mb of vram at 3000x1500 resolution. And that tops my 470. I guess it could do with a lot of optimization, since most of it comes from the textures but heck, what good is vram for if not to use it

Thanks mlody47, I'm anxious to see what we'll be able to do with MLT, it's going to be a sweet ride!
tomas_p, thanks, the HDRI is a freebie that I fished from the free resources thread in the forum, its quality is not the best, but it's free, hehehe, now I guess I'll have to buy a couple of night HDRI's since before (without emmitters) I didn't have much use for them
I guess I could have photoshoped a better background, but since this are tests I do prefer to show them without "tricks"
