Hi,

Just getting back to Octane. Love the new improvements in 1.2! Will Poser plugin get the multi
camera view settings you think?

thanks.

Not absolutely sure what you mean by multi-view. At the moment you can render any of the Poser cameras (as long as they are perspective).

Hi Paul, thanks for reply:

really? Well this is news to me personally. Anyone have a good poser- in general- camera tutorial?
{ One problem I have with Poser is a lack of intermediate / advanced tutorials.}, to explain
multi camera renders? or camera features?

MULTI-VIEW - THIS FROM 1.2

I'm talking specifically about camera improvements in the video at time marker: 2:00

Is this the same feature?

SERIES OF CAMERA SETUPS:

Also, can a list of camera shots be animated/ rendered in a series: such as 1 frame on this view, second frame on another view, third, etc?

FINALLY:

Lastly, on a different topic, can a poser Pro octane scene be packaged and opened intact with
all materials in a different Octane plugin? I suppose using obj?

thanks Paul!

Hi Gold

The Poser plugin does much more than Octane Standalone from a camera render and animation point of view. You can add as many perspective cameras as you like in Poser and start rendering, then select another camera and the Viewport is immediately updated to the new camera. You can also animate cameras and render those animation in with the plugin.

Not yet, but maybe in the future. What do you need from Standalone that is not available in the plugin?

This sounds good.

cool. Anyone have an advanced tutorial for multiple camera animations in poser?

I've actually never used the standalone. I'm referring to my other issue here: Where I use
the Octane Lightwave plugin. Poserfusion plugins are very good -- until you want to use Octane. Then they are are basically no help. A maze of materials come in from Poser, but converting them all is a nightmare

thanks!

In this situation I would recommend using PoserFusion and just transfer to standard Poser scene (no Octane info will be transferred), then use the Lightwave plugin and get it to convert the materials.

thanks Paul.

Yes the fusion plug works great. Unfortunately, the list of materials which has to be converted
is overwhelming. A very long list! Not to mention this list way exceeds any GPU maximum
requirements, I would guess.

So a more elegant solution is desperately needed!

{ I will pay you for a Poser to LW Octane materials converter ! lol }

Why are you needing to go to LW? Can't you just render in OctaneRender for Poser?
