Good question RealityFox and you're right it's a far away question - we can not discuss pricing for this product. For sure, you would have to keep the standalone license anyway because the official plugins will not work without a standalone version installed on the same machine...

lol okay, I was just typing up examples and didn't think that one through a lot. At any rate I really like the renderer but haven't had time to really push it. I have a feeling I'll most likely buy it once I do an actual scene.

I also would like to test the blender exporter to octane, to see if it fits into my workflow, however i cannot send pm's, could somebody provide me with the exporter plugin?

Thanks for dropping us a line or two. there may be more good news in the horizon, as we are deliberating to make the blender export script publicly available in the future. for now i've sent info to your pm and stay tuned in for the latest developments...
