Hi,

The bowl in OBJ format downloaded from there contains only 1 material for the whole scene.
Octane reads that one material and applies it to everything as it should.

Octane requires OBJ+MTL files with different materials assigned to different objects in the OBJ file for you to be able to modify them individually.
This is usually done in your host 3d app, eg material assignment.

Hi Radiance,

I tried several OBJ's and all gave me the same results, including the default scene, So I've just converted a LWO Mazda object via Poseray to OBJ ensuring it had separate mat zones and it works. :D

What are the odds of 7 OBJ's from different locations and progs having one mat assignment. :shock:
