This algorithm would be a game changer. It will negate the need for high powered graphics cards.You should be able to render a clean scene in say 300-400 samples rather than needing 3000-4000 samples to achieve the same effect currently.For those with high powered cards a high res. scene could be rendered out in a minute or two.

Yea if someone in the future can program this it would be awesome! But you get a little bit lack of details (but it is not that noticeable), that is the disadvantage.

I think the lack of details comes from a very low sample rate - I'm sure you could get more detail by simply letting it render more samples and then applying the filter mechanism.
something I would take to about 4 mins a frame interior ( depending on scene length ) and settle on that result.
