Hello all,
My IT department recently "upgraded" my computer OS fro Windows 7 to Windows 10. Ever since the update Octane will not work using Standalone Octane or with the 3DS Max plug-in. In the Standalone Octane when I import a mesh and click on the node the viewport remains gray and no GPU metadata is loaded or visible. When using the Octane 3DS Max plug-in (my main method of us) when I click to open the renderer I will get an error prompt "Render failure in Viewport Rendering: GPU Failure. Check the log for error detail..". Below is what the log reads::
Started logging on 17.01.20 10:24:28
OctaneRender 4.01.1 (4010100)
CUDA error 999 on device 1: unknown error
-> failed to link file
device 1: failed to load OSL shader code:
error : Multiple definition of 'cuSptStatistics' in 'cuda_texturenode', first defined in ' '
device 1: failed to compile module 0
I'm getting a generic error 999. I was thinking perhaps my Nvidia driver got messed up somehow during the OS upgrade so I downloaded the latest Nvidia Game Ready Driver (441.87) thinking that might fix the issue but it didn't.
Any idea what the issue is and how to resolve it? I tried a different rendering program that relies on CUDA cores and it is working fine so the issue seems to be with Octane since the Windows 10 install. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
