I haven't been very active here as I have been really frustrated with finding good textures that fit my scene. I saw that Allegorithmic finally made a Linux version of Substance Designer and Painter. Combine that with their awesome subscription "Substance Live" where you pay $20 monthly until you have the software payed off and then you own it, I just couldn't pass it up.
So I have been delving into the software which is very deep, especially Designer. I have been testing it with some artifacts you might find in an attic, like a hammer:
Lots of fun, and this allows me to custom build the textures I need without spending a ton of time and money finding the right textures. The hammer was textured with the default substances that come with the software and others from the substance source site.
