Although these are usually self-explanatory, they aren't always so obvious. I was encouraged to go for the purchase when I was curious how the "subdivision group" settings in the object tag work. Sadly, when I watched the section on object tags, this information was explained to be "self-explanatory" which didn't help me at all. I understand subdivisions, but I don't understand exactly how these settings are supposed to benefit me and how I should be setting them. They seem important. Could someone help me out here?

Hey Gary,
these are basic/general concepts which are by no means specific to Octane. The way mesh subdivision works is identical to the way it operates in most 3D packages. What's different is that Ocatne (your GPU) calculates it at render time.
I do not agree on the term "brushes over a lof of things". I believe I covered almost everything there is to be covered.
Thank you for purchasing. Let me know if you need more help.
p.s. Just added a couple of free samples url's in the description
Cheers.
