Ambient occlusion not rendering in main render

Hi,

I've been trying to use Octane Standalone to render out a scene, though I'd noticed something looking very off. Here is how the main render looks like:

Noticed that there is no ambient occlusion here and the shadows in the scene are just nonexistent.

Strangely, when I look at the ambient occlusion render pass, I can achieve this result which is more in line with what I am going for:

However I cannot seem to combine the AO with the main render, in which all these shadows under objects are lacking entirely. Any advice on what I'm doing wrong? How can I adjust the AO levels in the main render as I can in the AO render pass?

I figured what I was missing. I just had to put a direct lighting kernel on top with the AO settings.

Thanks in advance... :)
