Hello,

before we adapted the new stereographic HMD supported VR panoramas, we already worked with immersive 360 degree scenes, which could be viewed on the PC screen, on several projects.

We used different authoring software to create interactive content, which offered a lot of options and features to build your vr scene. You could e.g. define starting positions within the panorama dependant on the link (and therefore your last viewing direction...) you used to access the panorama, you could define buttons within the panorama to display certain information , you could blend in an floor plan showing your current position and viewing direction, you had an user friendly WYSIWYG graphical interface...

here is a very short (and obviously not the prettiest ...) example we did years ago, which illustrates a few things

www.v-cube.de/amma -> double click in the panorama for fullsceen

Is there any plan to develop such a thing or are there maybe 3rd party products which could be used to build VR scenes in a more convenient way?

thanks for any feedback

Hi V-cube,

Im currently looking for the best tool as well. Could you share the names of the software you mention? I would love to take a look

I work with theViewer.co, which is excellent in terms of ease of use and integration - it works on the web, Android, iOS and GearVR apps, with DayDream support coming over the following weeks. Then again, it doesnt have too many extra features right now.

You can take a look on their info page
http://theConstruct.co/beta

I hope to hear from you - Im keen to find out more about the tools you used before

Cheers
