Octane Cinema4D: Viewport Visibility, Tiling & Transparency

Questions from the short video:
1. How come some of my textures show up as white boxes while others don't.
2. How come when I disable texture tiling, in the viewport it looks good but it doesn't reflect that change in the live viewer?
3. How come when I disable the area around the texture when I want it to be transparent, it doesn't appear transparent in ether the live viewer or view port?

Thanks!

Hi,

about decals in c4doctane, please have a look at this tutorial by Raphael Rau/Silverwing:
https://youtu.be/Js-3V8GxJV0

Anyway, please, always use an ImageTexture node before loading any kind of image into c4doctane:
https://docs.otoy.com/cinema4d/ImageTexture.html

Octane is a Spectral render engine, so every texture must to be converted to the proper color space before been used.

In this way, you can also change the Border mode, to remove the Tiling effect.

ciao,
Beppe
