I've just got a mac mini M2 Pro and I'm having trouble setting up Octane Network rendering. On my PC I've installed the OctaneRender Studio+ 2023.1.2 Daemon, set to the default port of 48000.

On the mac mini, I have c4d running the Octane 2023.1.2-[R6] plug-in.

When I open the live viewer and choose Network Rendering>Settings, nothing happens. If I go to render settings>Octane Renderer>Network Preferences, nothing happens.

The two machines are plugged in using ethernet to a Netgear gigabit switch.

Where am I going wrong?

OK, found out I needed to have the 2024_Alpha_3 installed on the Mac.

Now I can open the network preferences but not sure what's wrong:

You need to have the 2024_Alpha_3 on both sides.

Just got it working with Mac and PC using 2024_Alpha_2.

I couldn't find the 2024_Alpha_3 daemon installer - do you have a link?

Actually, didn't get it working, had to update my nvidia drivers on the PC.

But FINALLY it works... Simple scene just on the M2 Pro, 46 seconds. Add in the PC and 2 x 3090s, 5 seconds.

Am I the only one to force-quit c4d every time ? Thought it was corrected allready. ( did the upgrade from octane 2023.1 R3 to R7 today )

this issue has been fixed some time ago, and you are the first one reporting it with 2023.1.2-R7.

Please write to help at otoy dot com asking for Beppe, so I can investigate more deeply your case.
