Are you running RTX Titans or 2080TI's? The RTX Titans have 24GB of ram and even with Windows 10 ridiculous usage it leaves about 19GB free for Octane. 19GB is massive, biggest scene we have ever had was about 16GB. Point being if you have RTX Titan do you need nvlink? If not you could separate those cards with the cables and get better airflow, lower temps and better performance on all scenes. Also I would see what performance you get by using the 3rd card as a display and render card. We have noticed with the RTX Titan it is so fast that it can be rendering and working in it without any noticeable drop in view-port frame rates. Best of luck with what ever you do.
