Licenses?

HI,
we currently have 5 standalone licenses and 1 3ds max. These are just regular licenses that we upgraded from 3 to 4 for free.

We are planning to change our slaves- get less slaves but hold more GPUs. So at the end we will have 3 slaves with 8 GPUs per slave ( total 24 slave GPUs) plus master will have 3 GPUs. We will also need RTX support. I guess this will make rendering faster?

What do I need to cancel or adjust to have 3 slave licenses plus one master supporting 27 GPU in total for 2018.1 and 2019 octane?

Do we need to make another payment per license or is it just a monthly payment per slave? How can we do it online? Do we need enterprise license or can we pay per GPU after 20 GPU limit.

Please tell me what will it cost upfront and per month to have 27 GPUs supported plus Tensor and RTX cores.

Thank you

Hi coilbook,
you should need only one All-Access Enterprise bundle for the Master (that gives you one extra Slave node license), and another All-Access bundle for one Standalone Slave (to have another extra Slave node).
So in total, you should end up with one Master AA, + one Slave AA, + 2x Extra Slave nodes.
Happy Rendering,
ciao Beppe

bepeg4D,

My budget requests will be due soon and I have a question about Octane licenses as well.

I have two Octane 4 standalones and one C4D plug. I plan to buy two more standalones which would give me 4-Octane 4 standalone licenses (3 for slave renders) and the plug on the main system.

So how much extra should I budget to upgrade all these to Octane 2019 when it is released?

I can't use all-access because of the Paypal only option to pay, plus I don't really need it. I'll buy extra plugs as I need them.

Any response will help. The main pricing page is really confusing on the upgrade from Octane 4 to Octane 2019 unless you use all-access.

Thanks.

Thanks
is this right? And I guess the other 3 will just not be used anymore?

We also use octane for 3ds max. I am not seeing it in the upgrade list. Do I have to buy

@coilbook:
no, you need to purchase 2x Upgrade OctaneRender® Enterprise All-Access Annual Extension, for one or two years:

@BCres:
sorry, I have no info to share about future update costs, at the moment.
As a note, it is possible to purchase the annual extension bundle also in different ways than paypal, if you are interested. please send an email to [email protected], thanks. With 2x AA bundle you should have all the necessary licenses (with 2x extra Slave nodes), always up to date.
