Hi,

I decided to make a video comparing the scene preprocessing times between Octane 3.08 and Octane 4 and I also compared a very specific scene which has a fairly huge amount of hair. I decided to compare octane 3.08 against redshift and Arnold and then against Octane 4.

The simple conclusion is that Octane 4 is really impressive when it comes to scene preprocessing. Hats off to everyone at Otoy for doing a fantastic job.

For some reason I can't seem to embed the video so just click on the link given below.

Also, I'm using a gtx 1080 and a gtx 1080ti.

Since I'm learning hair grooming at the moment, I'd also like to ask for a proper hair shader in Octane ala Arnold. The arnold hair shader is absolutely brilliant.

Thanks for the video Rohan. The load time and interactivity difference is pretty impressive.
