hi
PROJECTOR
i'm trying to project a texture in the standalone, but can't figure out how to. the tutorials i can find are for maya or cinema4d like this one from calus
https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=61224&p=313218&hilit=projector#p313218
i've also had a look at this thread
https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=63611&p=324608&hilit=volumetric+jama#p324608
where renart mentions that jama is using the projection method to create some interesting shadows.
i have tried to add the texture both as texture emission > texture > rgb image and as black body with a texture and with a texture in the dsitribution map.
can any one link to a tutorial for this in the standalone?
FOG / SPEED
And gusmendonca replies "I also played with black scatter and emissive color properties that gives you really solid Depth Cues and it is super fast to render"... can anyone explain that?
i would love to create faster images with fog
MEDIUM PER OBJECT OR ENVIROMENT
is it better / faster to use objects with a specular texture added a medium node, than adding a medium node to the environment node?
I really like to experiment, but there is a lot to learn.
thanks
